Brava begins.
It's between the Pyrenees and the coast. The capital is Figueres, this city is very important and largest. In Alt Empordà, there are 99'321 (2002) inhabitants.
The area is 1342.4 km².
On the coast, is situated the Cap de Creus and the Golf de Roses.
